Establishing a permanent endowment fund in your name or the name of a loved one is a wonderful way to make a gift to Columbus Metropolitan Library that will last a lifetime. Planned gifts are an integral part of ensuring our library’s excellence for generations to come. Planned gifts can also provide you with valuable tax benefits, and even lifetime income. The Library Legacy Society recognizes those individuals who have shared their intentions to make a planned gift to the library. Our generous corporate partners provide start-up funds for innovative programs like the Ready to Read Corps and incentives and awards for Summer Reading Club participants. They underwrite educational programs like our Financial Education Day and sponsor Celebration of Learning, our annual fundraising event that brings in over $200,000 to support the library. If your business or organization is interested in partnering with the library, please contact Development staff at 614-849-1363.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources Department. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Volunteers are an invaluable resource for the library. People of all ages and walks of life can volunteer. Learn more about volunteer opportunities here.
