Gifts to the Summer Reading Club help to provide a summer-worth of educational and entertaining programming for thousands of central Ohio kids and teens. More importantly, it ensures that kids maintain their reading skills over the summer so they start school at the right reading level.
Ready to Read Corps is a first-of-its-kind initiative that takes the library into six at-risk communities to teach parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5 how to be their child's first teacher and prepare their children for kindergarten.
Homework Help Centers in all 21 library locations provide students with everything they need to complete their homework – friendly staff and volunteers to provide homework help, computers, printers, school supplies and a collection of resource books.
Gifts to the area of greatest need allow us the flexibility to support urgent priorities and emerging opportunities at the library.

Unrestricted endowment gifts can be designated to the Endowment Fund or make a gift to one of the following established endowments:
Cody Conover Fund for Young Minds – Supports initiatives specifically for children, as well as their parents and caregivers, from birth through the teen years.
Larry Black Fund for At Risk Youth – Provides new materials that serve the most at-risk youth in our community.
Julian Sinclair Smith Fund for Library Books and Materials – Builds the library’s collection, and ensures that our books and materials reflect changing trends in information and education, encouraging lifelong learning.
